Museum of Madame Tussaud's
At last we arrived at the Museum of Madame Tussaud's
In the museum of the waxy figures Madame Tussaud's you will see not
only known but also sadly glorified personalities, members of royal
family, stars of music. In horror room you will come across with executioners, disposing with their victims.
The
founder of the museum native-born Marie Grosholc often faced with death
on her own. She was a famous master of the waxy figures
in Paris, but at the same time taught the humanitarian sciences to Lyudvik's
XVI sister. The Leaders of french revolution has entrusted her to do
the masks of persons of the decapited victims of the guillotine.
Having married for a civil engineer Francois Tyusso, she arrived in London
in the beginning of 19-th century, and by the moment of her death in
1850 her works had already been known. By the way she died at the age of 89.
In 1884 her grandson, Dzhozef Rendal Tussaud's, placed the figures
in the museum not far from Baker street, where they are now. After all
the collection keeps the history of society presenting good and bad
sides of it.
